Transforming Flared Gas into Energy Assets
Routine flaring of associated gas is both an environmental liability and a significant wasted commercial resource. PCL-Gas provides structured end-to-end solutions for the recovery and commercialisation of flared gas at upstream operations. We work with upstream operators, national oil companies, and independent producers. Our programmes transform stranded associated gas into structured energy assets that generate revenue, reduce emissions, and demonstrate measurable ESG performance.
Our Process
PCL-Gas follows a disciplined four-stage delivery model for every flare gas engagement. The process begins with detailed assessment and feasibility — covering gas volume characterisation, site evaluation, regulatory review, and monetisation pathway analysis. Recovery and compression systems are then designed and deployed at field level, engineered for reliability in upstream environments. Gas processing and integration follows, conditioning recovered volumes for entry into LNG, CNG, gas-to-power, or industrial supply streams. The final stage — monetisation and distribution — connects recovered gas to viable off-take markets and structured revenue frameworks.
Benefits
Structured flare gas capture delivers benefits across environmental, commercial, and regulatory dimensions. Operators achieve significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions from routine flaring. Recovered gas volumes increase available domestic supply for industrial, commercial, and power generation use. New revenue streams are created for upstream operators and host communities from gas that was previously burned as waste. ESG alignment is demonstrated through measurable flare reduction performance, supporting operator commitments and international flare-down frameworks. Structured performance data is produced to support sustainability reporting obligations and stakeholder disclosure requirements.
Why PCL-Gas
PCL-Gas brings together the engineering capability, OEM equipment relationships, and delivery discipline required to execute flare gas projects from assessment to handover. We are a structured delivery partner — not a technology vendor. Every engagement is executed under a documented quality management framework, with full traceability from design through to commissioning. We work with operators at all scales of flaring, from major upstream facilities to smaller marginal fields with economically stranded associated gas volumes.
